Features and roadmap

What LinePick can do—and what comes next.

A clear view of the current feature set and planned improvements.

Current version 1.1

Available now

The current version provides LinePick's complete core: deliberately place outgoing calls through the right cellular line and keep personal and business calling clearly separated.

Configure lines

Give detected SIM and eSIM lines your own names, colors, and symbols. This turns technical identifiers into clear labels such as Personal or Business.

Apple does not reliably provide apps with a SIM's own phone number. LinePick therefore includes guidance for identifying lines safely.

Contacts and preferred lines

With your permission, LinePick displays contacts and phone numbers. A preferred line can be stored for an individual contact or an entire contact list. “Always Ask” keeps the decision open.

Keypad, search, and customizable sections

Enter numbers directly, search contacts, and choose which main sections—Favorites, Calls, Contacts, and Keypad—are visible.

Favorites, Siri, and Shortcuts

Keep frequently called numbers as favorites. App Intents and SiriKit connect supported LinePick actions to Siri and Shortcuts.

Call history

View the history made available by iOS and return calls using a selected line. LinePick locally remembers the line used for calls started by the app.

Default calling app

On iOS 26 or later, LinePick can be set as the default calling app. An illustrated guide inside the app explains every step.

Privacy by design

No account, ads, or tracking. Contacts, favorites, line rules, and settings remain on the iPhone.

Included · Version 1.1

CarPlay

LinePick provides a deliberately simple, driving-focused interface for favorites, contacts, recent calls, and selection of the currently available SIM or eSIM. Free-form phone numbers are started through CarPlay’s official Siri entry point.

The CarPlay implementation has been tested in the simulator and in a real vehicle system.

Planned next

Contact management and convenience

  • More efficient shared contact management for the app, Shortcuts, and later CarPlay
  • Faster refresh for large iCloud, Exchange, and CardDAV address books
  • Recovery of clearly recognizable favorites after synchronization changes a contact identifier
  • Clearer guidance for conflicting line rules across multiple contact lists

Current platform limit

iOS does not provide third-party apps with public information about which SIM received an incoming cellular call. LinePick therefore cannot display that line.

Requirements

  • iPhone with iOS 26 or later
  • At least one active cellular line; two SIMs or eSIMs for line selection
  • Contact permission for contact and favorite features
  • LinePick selected as the default calling app for full integration
